Year 4 - Electricity - Circuits

In our Science lesson we tried different materials in a circuit to see if they would make the bulb light up. 

Year 2 term 5 - Animals including Humans

This term children have been looking at how we change as we grow older and what we need to stay healthy. We have had a guess the baby competition and we have carried out investigations to see how our bodies feel after exercise. We have also looked at healthy and unhealthy foods and created our own healthy meals. 

This term year 2 will be observing and describing how seeds and bulbs grow into mature plants, exploring and describing how plants need water, light and a suitable temperature to grow and stay healthy. They will do this by planting various seeds and nurturing them into mature plants and carrying out an investigation to see what a seed needs to germinate and then grow into a healthy plant. They will also look at the life cycle of a plant.

Year 2 term 3 Living Things and their Habitats

In term 3, year 2 children have been learning all about Living things and their habitats. 

As part of their materials topic, children in year 2 have learnt all about different types of materials, properties of materials and their uses. They have carried out various investigations and practical activities to help them understand these concepts.

Year 6 start of topic task for living things and their habitats -classifying sweets.

Year 6 looked at adaptation and Darwin's finches. We tested the best size and shape for a beak to pick up food.
