Week 3
Maths
In maths we have been looking at the 5 counting principles. We have been recognising that each counting number is one more than the one before and understanding the one more than/ one less than relationship between consecutive numbers.
Literacy
This week we have been looking at a non-fiction book called What can live in the snow? The book looks at cold regions of the world and the animals and plants that inhabit these cold places. We have been looking at the features of a non-fiction book. The children have been starting to create their own non-fiction books about these cold places.
Science
In science this week we have been reviewing what we have learnt about the Arctic and Antarctic and using that information to create a polar habitat in our play.
