Week 5
Literacy
We started a new story this week, as we move towards Christmas we read The Jolly Christmas Postman. This delightful story follows a postman on his journey delivering the Christmas post. Along the way we have recognised lots of characters from other stories and nursery rhymes. We have been making our own pictorial story maps showing the postman’s journey.
Understanding of the World
In design technology this we we have continued our project on making Autumn Soup. We have used all the skills we have learnt over the past few weeks to peel and chop the vegetables for our soup. The best part was getting to try the soup after. The children talked about the smell and taste of the soup, some like it and had several bowls and some weren't so keen!!
