Week 5
Literacy
Our text this week is Jasper’s Beanstalk, the children have been creating their own story map to tell the story of Jasper planting his bean and waiting patiently for the beanstalk to grow. They have been thinking about how Jasper was feeling at different parts of the story. The children have been retelling the story to their talking partner.
Maths
This week we have been looking at spatial awareness in maths. We have been giving each other directions to move around the room. We have been rotating, flipping and turning shapes to get them to fit into a picture. The children have been talking about what they are doing to make the shapes fit.
Expressive Art and Design
This week the children have been creating their own collage creature. They have been using the collage techniques that they have learnt this term and using these skills to create their chosen creature. The finished artwork is amazing!
