Literacy
This week we have been reading the lovely book Farmer Duck. The duck in this story lives with a lazy farmer who stays in bed all day. The poor duck has to do all the work around the farm. The farm animals make a plan to help the duck.
We have been talking about the characters in the story and thinking about how they are feeling at different points in the story.
Maths
This week we have been recognising that numbers are made up of smaller numbers. We have been using dominoes to see how a total number of spots can be split into two groups. We have been combining two groups and finding the total.
Understanding of the World
In science we have been investigating and describing different materials. We have been sorting them according to their properties.
In geography and RE we have been finding out more about our local community and have visited RAF Coningsby’s Prayer Room. We have been finding out about the role of the Padre’s on camp and how they support the community.
