Believe. Aspire. Succeed.
In Maths this week, our Year 1 children have been exploring notes. We talked about what each note looks like and what it's value is. Year 1 children then moved onto finding different ways of making £30, £25 and £40.
Year 2 children have been learning how to add the prices of two items together and then work out how much change needs to be given. This involved both adding and subtracting!
In History this week, we have been discussing why Remembrance Day is so important. We discussed that there are lots of events throughout the year that we choose to remember and celebrate such as Birthdays and Christmas and we discussed why it is important to remember these events every year. The children then wrote a sentence explaining what each event is commemorating and designed a symbol for them.
