Our Core Values
I am incredibly proud to share with you the wonderful opportunities and developments at Coningsby St Michael's Primary School where we take great pride in being a part of the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT). We are a vibrant, welcoming school where children are enthusiastic, motivated and encouraged to achieve endless possibilities.

Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT) is a Multi Academy Trust which was set up by the Diocese of Lincoln in 2013 to build a mutually supportive family of academies in Greater Lincolnshire who support each other in providing the very best outcomes for their pupils.

At Coningsby St Michael’s we aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. We are dedicated to creating an environment where every child can thrive. From our Christian values to our wide-ranging curriculum, we provide an atmosphere that inspires, nurtures and equips every pupil to achieve their full potential. At Coningsby St Michael’s, we believe in your child’s ability to succeed and are here to support them every step of the way.

The support the school provides for service children is a strength. Leaders ensure that they regularly check on these pupils. They communicate with parents and carers who might be abroad, including emailing photographs of their children. Pupils benefit from sharing school experiences, such as sports day, with parents who cannot be there in person. Workshops for ‘little troopers’ and a ‘military kids club’ also help support and celebrate these pupils.
Our English Adventure Took Off at 9:30am! Today we didn't just walk into school... we departed on a journey! At exactly 9:30am, from Gate 1, our excited young travellers clutched their plane tickets and boarded Air Africa. Waiting to greet us with the biggest smile was our wonderful air hostess, Mrs Sneddon, who made everyone feel welcome and ready for take-off! After a smooth flight, we landed safely in Africa... and what an arrival it was! It was scorching hot with sun beaming down on us Our library had been transformed into a buzzing African experience. The moment we stepped inside, we were surrounded by rhythm, culture and discovery. We learned to drum, feeling the powerful beats echo through the room. We danced, moving to the rhythm of traditional African music. We drew mud huts and Lilia from our new book Lila and the secret of the rain We explored what daily life is like for children in African communities and thoughtfully compared it to our own lives. One of the most powerful moments of our journey was reading quotes from Lila and the Secret of Rain. The story made us think deeply. What would happen if the rain never came? Why was the ground so dry and dusty what would happen if the drought continues. How would it feel to wait and hope for something as important as water? These questions sparked thoughtful discussions, empathy and curiosity. We began to understand how precious rain can be and how different life can look in other parts of the world. Today wasn't just the start of a new English topic it was the start of a journey filled with imagination, understanding and global discovery. We can't wait to see where our learning takes us next! As part of our writing journey, KS1 have the opportunity to dive into the world of Stella and the seagull, a curious and brave young girl who forms an unexpected bond with a seagull. This heartwarming story was used as a springboard for developing key writing skills, allowing students to reflect on the plot, characters, and setting while igniting their creativity. Something magical is happening in our Mystical Garden! We're incredibly excited to share that our school was selected to receive our very own orchard what an amazing opportunity for our children and our outdoor learning space. Over the last few days of term, our fantastic staff team were busy preparing the site and on Thursday Mr Keep planted the first 10 fruit trees a beautiful mix of apple, plum, and pear varieties. Our orchard has officially begun! Over the next few weeks, our Forest Schoolers will be taking on the important job of caring for these young trees watering them, learning about their needs, and helping them thrive so that one day they'll be bursting with fruit for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait to watch our orchard grow alongside our children. Stay tuned for updates from our budding gardeners/forest schoolers. #laat #beliveaspiresucceed #coningsbystmichaelsLincoln Anglican Academy Trust Coningsby St Michael's C of E Primary School

This term, Mice Class have been exploring our community through Expressive Art and Design by creating a fantastic 3D map of the local area. The children have been studying real maps of the area around school and using them to draw their own simple maps. Painting and using collage materials to decorate different parts of the landscape. Cutting tabs and attaching cardboard tubes to represent tree trunks and woodland areas. Painting and transforming boxes into buildings to add to our growing 3D model of the local community. The project has helped the children develop their creativity, fine motor skills, spatial awareness and understanding of place all while working collaboratively to bring their local area to life. What a wonderful bunch of children we have!Coningsby St Michael's C of E Primary School Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust

Year 3/4 Dodgeball Club Fun! Our dodgeball legends brought big energy tonight! We worked on stepping closer to the line to power up those throws and took on some exciting 1v1 catching challenges. The focus and determination were brilliant to see. And of course... we finished with some fast-paced, laughter-filled games. Fantastic effort from everyone you smashed it! Year 3 & 4 Become Polar Scientists! Yesterday's mysterious snowy footprints led to an exciting discovery today... Our classrooms transformed into Antarctica as Year 3 and 4 stepped into the role of official Polar Network UK scientists! Wrapped up in coats to brave the "freezing" conditions, the children set out to investigate everything they could about penguins. They explored different species, studied their appearance, discovered what they eat, and observed how they move across land and water. Each young scientist even created their own detailed penguin drawing in their research journals. The enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork on display were incredible. What an unforgettable expedition to the icy south all without leaving school! Coningsby St Michael's C of E Primary SchoolLincoln Anglican Academy Trust

A Mysterious Message for Year 3 & 4... Something very unusual has happened in our classrooms this evening. The tables are covered in snow, strange footprints trail across the room, and research boards filled with facts about penguins have appeared out of nowhere! It seems we may be heading somewhere very cold... We can't wait to see what discoveries tomorrow brings. Coningsby St Michael's C of E Primary SchoolLincoln Anglican Academy Trust
