Week 1
Literacy
In Literacy this week we have been reading The Creation Story and finding out how Christians believe the world began. We have been reading the beautifully illustrated book The Story of Creation by Jane Ray. The children have loved using the pictures to tell the story and writing about their favourite part.
Maths
In maths we have started looking at numbers form 11 - 20. The children have been using ten frames to look at what quantities larger than 10 look like on ten frames. We have been using our knowledge of numbers to recognise that if a ten frame is full there must be 10 counters on it so we could count on from 10 rather than start at 1 to count.
