Year 6

Welcome to Year 6!

Welcome to our year 6 page.

In 6C Mrs Case is our class teacher on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and Mrs Clark is our class teacher on Wednesday and Thursday.

In 6S Mr Saunders is our class teacher from Monday - Thursday and Mrs Clark is our class teacher on Friday.

We are really looking forward to welcoming pupils into school this week. From Thursday 3rd September, Year 6 children will start school at 8:30am and finish at 3pm. They must enter through the double gate onto the main playground and line up where they will be collected by their teachers. We ask that you please stick rigidly to these times in order to protect the bubble system and avoid pupil mixing with children from other year groups.

Summer Term 2

Our church school value for this term is truthfulness.

We will be exploring the concept of truthfulness through questions such as:

Why can it be difficult to tell the truth?

Are you always truthful?

Is it ever OK to not tell the truth?

Our bible story of the term is The armour of God. Ephesian 6:11-17

At school we will be looking at the Survival Guide to Change workshops found using the following link https://www.lpft.nhs.uk/young-people/lincolnshire/young-people/i-need-more-help/healthy-minds-lincolnshire and also using the booklet attached. We will be looking at these over the next two weeks. Please let your class teacher know if you would like the booklets printed out at school.

As a church school we are thinking about the value of forgiveness this term. Please have a look at some of the songs below that we love to sing.

Church School Value

Our church school value this term is truthfulness.

We will think about truthfulness through asking questions such as:

What is telling the truth?

Should you always tell the truth?

Why do people lie?

When have you told lies?

Is it always easy to tell the truth?

Our Bible story of the term is the story of Cain and Abel. Genesis ch 4.
