  • Forest School

At Coningsby, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, explore, and thrive in nature. That’s why our Forest School opportunities stretch from EYFS all the way up to Year 6—ensuring that every learner, at every stage, can experience the magic of the outdoors. Classes rotate, taking part in a six-week block of sessions, each lasting two hours per week—providing dedicated time to explore, discover, and grow in our outdoor learning environment.

For full details and the latest updates, please refer to our Forest School Handbook below. It’s your guide to all the exciting opportunities waiting in the woods!

Forest School Day – Important Information

On your child’s Forest School day, please ensure they come to school dressed in their PE kit and bring a change of shoes. As the weather becomes warmer, we kindly ask that all children bring the following items to help keep them safe and comfortable outdoors:

    • A sun hat
    • A water bottle
    • (optional) Sunscreen (applied before school; additional labelled sunscreen may be brought in)
    • Suitable outdoor footwear
    • Lightweight, long‑sleeved clothing if needed for sun protection

These items help ensure children can fully enjoy their Forest School experience while staying protected in warmer temperatures.
