Woodpeckers

Welcome to our Forest School page.

Our past Forest School sessions.

Oh No! Bears have moved into the mystical garden cave. Luckily, woodpecker class were on hand to help build them some amazing new homes so that we could have our cave back. Thankfully, the bears remained sleeping and the children were able to move them safely and carefully to their new homes.

In todays forest school session, Woodpecker class used their imaginations to turn simple sticks into different items - they had lots of fun creating their own fishing rods and fishing in the dry river bed and even a few muddy puddles! They also enjoyed pretending to light little camp fires they had made with their sticks as well as relaxing in the Hammocks.

For Woodpecker classes last forest school session of the term, they toasted marshmallows around a campfire, sitting beautifully and remembering our fire circle rules. After our fire had been extinguished, woodpeckers were free to choose their own activities, some chose to make mini dens with our woodland fairies, others made beautiful chalk pictures on the paths which they explored changing with water and paint brushes and some of the children chose to extend their fire circle experience by pretending to make their own fires with sticks and chalk drawings.
