Science

We have started our science learning this term by looking at the seasons. We went outside and looked for signs of winter. We have learnt that December, January and February are winter months and that it is very cold. We have to wear lots of layers so that we don't get cold. The days are shorter and their isn't much sunlight.

Children have been identifying all the body parts by drawing around someone and labelling them!

Owls have had an amazing afternoon of science, they have really been using their working scientifically skills! They started by comparing themselves to elephants which led to the asking scientific questions using comparative testing. They thought of, investigated and recorded data on questions such as, do taller children have bigger feet? Do older children have bigger heads? Do smaller children have smaller hands?

Today children went on a senses walk outside. They closed their eyes so they could hear more clearly and used their touch to feel leaves and pine cones.
