Coningsby St Michael's Church of England Primary School
Believe. Aspire. Succeed.
At Coningsby St Michael’s, we’re proud to say our school is full of life—quite literally! We’re incredibly lucky to have two resident goats, Jammie and Dodger, and two delightful chickens, Marigold and Buttercup, who have become cherished members of our school community.
These wonderful animals bring a unique kind of magic to our Forest School sessions and everyday learning. They help children connect with nature in the most meaningful way—teaching compassion, empathy, responsibility, and love through every gentle interaction. Whether it’s a quiet moment of stroking soft feathers or the joy of feeding time, the bonds formed are unforgettable.
What makes it even more special is the care and commitment shown by our fantastic team of carers—both children and staff—who lovingly look after our animals during weekends and holidays. It’s a true reflection of the values we hold dear: kindness, teamwork, and respect for all living things.
At Coningsby St Michael’s, learning doesn’t just happen in classrooms—it happens in every shared moment, every muddy boot, and every bleat and cluck from our furry and feathered friends.
