Squirrel Class took part in a wonderful Forest School sessions this term focused on learning all about squirrels and their habitats. The children began by discussing what they already knew about squirrels, sharing ideas about how they move, what they eat, and where they live.
During their exploration of the woodland area, the children searched carefully for signs of squirrel activity. They discovered a range of exciting clues, including:
The children used their observation skills brilliantly, working together to decide what each clue might mean. They showed lots of curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored.
Alongside their squirrel investigation, the class also enjoyed the continuous provision available within the Forest School site. This included:
The session provided a wonderful balance of learning, creativity, problem-solving, and outdoor fun. The children demonstrated great teamwork and engagement throughout, and we are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm for exploring the natural world.
