Literacy

This week we have been reading the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  The children enjoyed using the storysack of the story to investigate what was happening in the story. The children made their own hungry caterpillar books and wrote about the foods the caterpillar ate.  

Understanding of the World

In science this week we have been looking at what a plant needs to grow.  We have been looking at the seeds we planted last week and making sure we give them everything they need in order to grow.  We then worked with a partner to sequence the pictures of the sunflower growing and talked about what was happening.
