British Science Week

Bridge Blunder!

Using paper and a small amount of tape, children were tasked to make a bridge. They could cut, roll, or fold the paper to try out ideas! They then had to test their bridge with weights. Thinking about how to make this a fair test and would it matter where they put the weights. Then they had to record the maximum weight their bridge could hold. What they could change to make the bridge stronger. Then using findings from the first test, they had to make one final model and test with the weights again. Finally, they showed their bridge to the rest of the class.
