A day of wild wonders with Woodpeckers. 

Today, woodpeckers immersed themselves in the magic of our outdoor classroom with the freedom and confidence to explore the setting independently. Their adventure began by gathering sunflower seed 'treasures' for our resident chickens to thoughtfully planting a few in our 'mystical garden,' the children were budding scientists learning that some seeds wait patiently underground, sparking exciting predictions about what magical surprises might sprout next spring. Our little explorers were also thrilled to discover a vibrant 'pick-a-mix' of pumpkins flourishing in the vegetable patch! The excitement peaked with our popcorn sweetcorn, where the children learnt about the process of drying the husks, building anticipation for a future popping party. It was a complete lesson in patience, seasons, and natural science!
