Your child’s attendance will be monitored each term. We shall be sending termly updates about your child’s attendance so you can help us if their attendance is falling below 95% (National expectation).

100% – 97%

Excellent attendance.

95%

This is good but is getting below our school target and may need monitoring.

90%

Your attendance will be monitored and we may invite you to attend our school attendance panel meeting to support you in improving your child’s attendance.

90%

This means your child will miss half a day each week or 19 days of school- that is nearly 4 weeks of the school year lost.

Below 90%

This is considered persistent absenteeism and will have a negative impact on your child’s learning. As a result, we will invite you to attend our school attendance panel meeting to support you in improving your child’s attendance.

Holidays during school time

Holiday requests will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances. All other requests will likely result in a fine.
