Literacy

We have continued with The Jolly Christmas Postman this week. We have been making our own letters to send to Father Christmas. The children have been using their knowledge of letter sounds to build words for the things they would like for Christmas. We then posted the letters to Father Christmas.

Maths

This week we have been using language of position and direction in our maths work this week. We have been describing where everyday objects are using positional language and rotating shapes to fit into other shapes.

Understanding of the world

In science we have been noticing what we can see, hear and feel whilst outside. We have been on a winter scavenger hunt around school looking for seasonal signs of Winter. We have been finding spikey leaves, pinecones and seasonal berries growing around school.
