Principles and Evidence
Three Principles
Investors in Pupils is based on the three principles of Investors in People (plan, do and review).
In other words it is about developing a culture where staff feel confident and skilled in enabling pupils to participate in decision making processes. This includes supporting pupils to be active participants in the planning, delivery and evaluation of their learning.
Evidence is sourced from the Five Key Areas
- Learning
- Behaviour
- Attendance
- Classroom/school management
- Induction
Pupil Participation underpins every aspect of the award and as each activity is introduced, developed and reviewed, schools need to address how pupils have been involved in the process and how they can they be involved to a greater extent in the future.
