What is it?
WHAT IS INVESTORS IN PUPILS?
Since April 2007, a growing number of schools have achieved the Investors in Pupils status and many more have been actively working towards the award. Any school or educational setting can register an interest and work towards the award.
Originally developed for primary schools in West Yorkshire, Investors in Pupils has now been successfully introduced into Secondary Schools, FE Colleges, Special Inclusive Learning Centres, Hospital Schools and Pupil Referral Units around the country with wide ranging benefits. To achieve the award schools need to demonstrate through an assessment day that they meet the criteria for the award. Once the school achieves the award they hold the Investors in Pupils status for 3 years and then need to apply for a re-assessment.
