13-05-2013 Dear Parents/Carers,
This week looks like one of the busiest weeks we have had for a while! As well as it being SATs week for our children in Y6, 8 of our classes are also taking part in visits to support their topics.
This week we also welcome back Mrs Clark who returns to school following her maternity leave. To ensure continuity of provision for the children, and so they feel comfortable with Mrs Clark, she will be working alongside Mr Hodges until the end of term 5. This will also give Mrs Clark the opportunity to get to know the children in Class 5H. I am sure you will join me in thanking Mr Hodges for all his hard work and wishing him all the best for the future.
This eventful week will end with our Open Afternoons (Thursday 16 May for Classes R/1P & R/1G and Friday 17 May for the rest of the school). On both afternoons we will open school at 2pm when you will be able to visit your child’s classroom, look at their work and have an informal chat with the class teacher. I am sure you will be impressed with the learning and progress taking place in school - we are incredibly proud of the achievements of our children and I am sure you will be too!
In school we are currently collecting the Nestle Box Tops for books and the Sainsbury’s Active kids vouchers. The Sainsbury’s vouchers will stop being issued on Wednesday 22 May 2013. Please bring any vouchers you have collected to school so we can submit them in exchange for fantastic new reading and sports resources for our school. Thank you!

Your School Council Needs You!
On behalf of our School Council I would like to ask for your support in rejuvenating our Trim Trail. The School Council would like to sand and stain the Trim Trail but we need some help! We are thinking of meeting on Thursday 30th May during half term week from 10am-2pm. If you are interested in helping us please give your name to the School Office.
