Class 5A

Welcome to Class 5A!

There are 25 children in our class. There is 15 boys and 10 girls. We have lots of adults that work in our classroom! There is Miss Ash (class teacher), Mrs Pigott (teaching assistant), Mrs Wheildon (teaching assistant) and Mrs Ward (teaching assistant).

This term, our learning question is "How Greek are we?" and we are reading The Adventures of Odysseus as our class text!

Our topic is all about Ancient Greece. We will be looking at how they lived, what they believed and how they shaped our lives today. In science, we will be studying gravity, friction, air resistance and upthrust as part of our 'May the Force be With You' section of the topic.

Our Church School Value this term is Forgiveness. We will be thinking about all the different things that we are thankful for!

Our Bible focus this term is the Lord's Prayer (Matthew's Gospel). We will be learning the traditional prayer at school so, if you have time, practicing at home would be great!

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.

Our Superstar this week - well done Patrick!
