Welcome to the page for Class 2EH
In Class 2EH we have 24 AMAZING children and our teacher is Miss Holden. We are very luck to have Mrs Walker, Mrs Wasley and Miss Sykes to help and support us with our learning!
This page will keep you up-to-date with all the exciting things we get up to in our class, so please keep visiting it regularly!
In English we are looking at....
Beegu has crash landed on a strange planet where she does not belong. Year 2 will look at how the character feels by role playing and hot seating the character and write a diary entry for what the day feels like for Beegu. We will look at questions- what are they and how can we write them? As well as answering questions.
We will then looked at using expanded noun phrases to describe where she has crash landed, then we will design our own strange planet and describe that. We will then write a fact file about a planet of our choosing.
We will be also looking at speech marks and conversation writing towards the end of term and finish the term off by writing a letter to the teacher in the story to ask if Beegu can stay and give her reasons why.
Our topic this term is...
Would you like to go to Space?
This term we will be focussing on space. We will look at the history of space by creating a timeline about it. Year 2 will also be looking at the planets and what order they come in, as a class we will try and think of a mnemonic to help us to remember their order. We will also look at why they sent animals to space, what it would have been like to go to space, who Tim Peake is and writing a diary entry of what a day in space would be like and then discussing how the moon is different to earth.

European Languages Day
In KS1 we looked at the french language. We started by looking at some basic classroom phrases and then moved on to finding out some facts about France.
We then used these facts to write on our own French flags and waved these whilst singing a french nursery rhyme Frere Jacques.
Use the link to continue to keep practicing the song.
